Nagpur lies right at the geographical centre of India along the River Nag, from which the city derives its name. The capital of the erstwhile Central Province, Nagpur is a growing metropolis with a large commercial hub.

The state of Jharkhand is located in eastern India and came into existence in the year 2000 by reorganizing the southern regions of Bihar state.
