My own event, Microwave Easy Cooking was basically to help us discover the wonders of cooking in Microwave and having more time on hand to do other things. But if you know how it goes, having those glass bowls handy is such a risky thing with kids being around all the time in the kitchen.

Read more »In my venture to try all the veggies that I find in the shop, my eyes fell on this rounded one. When I asked the shopkeeper, he said its the Dosa kaya, the one that’s used in curries or gravies. Having heard so much about this veggie being quite a famed one in Andhra cuisine, I have always wanted to try this out. Not being one from the actual local, I miss most of these famed ones.

My annual Greenfinger’s Day came and went this year. Planting pots and pruning hedges hardly feature in my top ten things to get flustered about these days.
I think Rajma Masala for ever will kindle those memories back to mind. The first time I actually remembering giving this lentil some thought and enjoying it, was when I had it at my friends place. She is a Gujarati and her mom was an awesome cook. Previous to that I don’t’ remember Amma making this or had she even made, I may not have actually paid much attention.
