Two old blogs removed: IndiaUpcoming - the blog no longer exists, and BotHack - not frequent enough posts

As a replacement for top.indiasphere.net topsite we are introducing a lighter weight blog directory. The blog directory will use less resources and serve the same purpose.

Please submit your blog to IndiaSphere Blog Directory.

IndiaSphere is now running on its own Virtual Private Server, the shared hosting that IndiaSphere was on was having too many issues so we decided to bite the bullet and get a VPS. The DNS should propagate and everyone should be hitting the new server.

Did some work around improving site speeds, the pages should load up faster now. What do you think did it help? Leave comments.

IndiaSphere Blogs Toplist is down for good. Our host has told us that it was taking too many resources on the shared server we are on and so they had to disable it. There isn’t much that can be done right now since getting virtual private hosting is cost prohibitive at this point. Top.indiasphere.net is redirecting to User Submissions page on the main site. This is to encourage everyone to submit their own stories to the main portal. If you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments.

We can’t aggregate all the best stories so IndiaSphere has now opened user submissions. Share the stories you like, the stories you think are important, stories you think others will enjoy and post them.

User Submitted stories will show up here, follow the Submit Story link on that page to submit your own. Only registered users can submit stories. If the feature catches on we will consider putting the stories on the Social Bookmarks front page.
